The Rangefinders Line from the Factory
How a Laser Rangefinder Actually Measures
A rangefinder fires a short laser pulse, times the return, and divides by two. The engineering is all in the margins: eye-safe output class, receiver sensitivity against weak returns from brush and distant flags, and algorithms that reject the wrong return when a target stands in front of a hill. Ranges printed on a box are best-case; the repeatable-median range against typical targets is the number distributors should ask about.
Rangefinding telescopes — our HW01 family — integrate observation and measurement in one instrument: a monocular-quality optical path on the same axis as the laser module. For hunting and long-range shooting, that integration replaces two carried devices with one, and the reticle overlay gives holdoff reference at the measured distance.
Modes That Sell Units
Scan mode for moving game, pin-seek with vibration confirmation for golf, angle compensation (in-hold or true-distance) for mountain hunting, fog and rain rejection filters, and measurement units your market expects. Each mode is a firmware and marketing decision — private-label programs routinely differentiate two SKUs from one hardware by mode set and reticle.
Accuracy Claims and How to Read Them
A ±1 m spec means the instrument is calibrated and verified across its stated range band; it does not promise ±1 m on every target, because surface, angle and atmosphere affect returns. We publish calibration method with the datasheet rather than a hero number alone, because distributor customers get asked exactly this question by their own retail buyers.

What does ±1 m accuracy mean in practice?
It is the calibration tolerance across the stated range band under good conditions. Surface angle, color and atmosphere affect returns, so honest suppliers publish method and typical-median performance alongside the headline figure — we do.
Can rangefinder features be customized per brand?
Yes — mode sets (scan, pin-seek, fog/rain rejection, angle compensation), reticle style, measurement units and firmware language are all private-label variables on existing hardware, letting you run differentiated SKUs without new tooling.
What is a rangefinder telescope?
A single instrument combining a monocular observation path and laser distance measurement on one axis — the hunter's and shooter's tool that replaces carrying a scope and a separate rangefinder.
Do you support compliance questions for export?
Laser products carry classification and export paperwork by destination. We support customers with classification data and route shipments through compliant channels.
